Ash Wednesday ~ March 6th

Ash Wednesday, the start of Lenten season is this Wednesday. There will be several choices to attend Mass. St. Anthony's will have Mass at 8:30am and at 6:00pm. St. Joseph's Mass will be at 11:00am.
As a reminder: Ash Wednesday is a day of fasting (only one full meal, and two small snacks that don't add up to to a full meal) for all Catholics from 18 to 59, and abstinence from all meat and foods made with meat for Catholics over the age of 14. This fasting reminds us that Lent is a season of penance.

Reports of Scamming

It has been reported that people are receiving requests for money, credit card information, etc. by posing as someone who is familiar or known . Please be sure to confirm who you are dealing with before offering any sort of monetary help or personal information. Unfortunately there are a lot of scams out there and we need to be very careful.

Arise!

The ARISE PROGRAM begins March 11th. Lent is a time of spiritual renewal and purification that leads us to a deeper love for Christ. We accomplish this through our Lenten sacrifices, offerings and prayers. A wonderful way to enhance our relationship with Jesus is to share our faith with others.
The Arise program is a simple participation in scripture reading, insight and sharing. It is a wonderful way to prepare for the joyous celebration of the Risen Lord. Come to one meeting and see if you aren’t burning for more.
A Sign-Up sheet will be in the vestibule. If you have any questions, call Ed at (530) 604-4155
