World Mission Sunday ~ October 20

October 20 is World Mission Sunday. In this Extraordinary Missionary Month, we are called to have a personal encounter with Jesus Christ alive in the church, and to offer, through this Eucharistic celebration, our prayers and generous financial support, through the society for the Propagation of the Faith, to continue the mission of Jesus.
This week, we are "sent" out to witness a Mission through our prayers and personal sacrifices for our brothers and sisters around the world. As little as:
*** $25 helps support a catechist for a month in remote Latin America.
*** $75 provides for the work of religious Sisters caring for orphaned children in Africa.
*** $100 assists poor children in boarding schools in Asia.

Help Us Build Jacob's Ladder

November is the month dedicated by the church to the holy souls of Purgatory.
Jacob (Genesis 28) dreamed of a ladder, or staircase, from earth to heaven with angels going up and down. It inspires us with God's faithfulness.
We will recreate this scene on our stairs to the balcony. Please bring photos of your loved ones who have died and we will place them on the stairs to see, remember, and pray for them. Please attach your name and phone number on the back of photo and place in basket, and we will add them to the display.
